My stays at Volve Hotel, Bangkok

6 April 2017

If you ask me where i do i want to live, i would say Bangkok! Bangkok is like my second home already. I flew to Bangkok more than 3 times a year. Being such popular tourist destination, Bangkok is packed with hotels and places to stay at all budgets. It is a bit overwhelming choosing where to stay in Bangkok, as there are so many accommodation options available. After visiting so many areas, Thong Lor is still my favourite spot. Thonglor, one of the most cosmopolitan and fashionable areas of Bangkok. Also, it is surrounded with many nice restaurants, cafes and bars,  VERY instagrammable. Hahaha me like!

This time, i’ve found a newly open neighbourhood hotel in Thong Lor. It's a hotel with only 28 rooms so everyone gets exclusive service. Basically it is like an executive club floor. Trust me it’s a hidden gem for you to discover.

To be honest, I really really really love every single corner of this Hotel. Very trendy.
The best part is the location. It is just 5 minutes away from the Thong Lor BTS station. Right opposite the hotel, there’s a also few restaurants, bars and cafe. If you’re too lazy to go out, you can just cross the road to fill your tummy. Super convenient.

Now, let’s check out the interiors of the hotel

Everything in this hotel designed with heart and behind every details has a story/explanation associated with it. Thonglor as an area has many different cultures interwoven together. As you see, Lobby wood floor is light brown then dark brown is because it's oak then teak then oak then teak. Oak is Western, teak is local.
Same thing with the marble floor at the front desk area, it's local Thai marble then Italian marble so it's also striped.
Everything is very detailed decorated with love. BIG LOVE!
The hotel interior design is actually based on houses that were built in the Sukhumvit and Thonglor area 30-40 years ago. They designer twisted those norms and re-used the same materials but in a modern ways (for example floor patterns in the corridor and the extensive use of brass).

Okay, follow me to the room now

The room number is written on the floor.

There is 4 types of room. ( Deluxe, Deluxe Corner, Studio Suite, Two Bedroom Suite) The price range is around 200+ to 500+ depends on travel dates. The one i’m staying earlier is Studio Suite  which is the signature suites with a living room. Very spacious.

Deluxe Room
Not to mention that the bed are SUPER comfy.
Deluxe Corner
Hotel offers a free illustrator map of the surrounding streets, showing the shows, galleries, restaurants and bars. Easier for traveller to get around to explore.

Two Bedroom Suite.

The Breakfast area.

You can either choose your room with or without the breakfast. The breakfast is very affordable too. Only 400baht for two pax if you book earlier together with the room.
(The breakfast is including the buffet area, one big breakfast and coffee )
Their Coffee is sourced from small roasters and grown in the North of Thailand.
Who says Thai coffee beans can't be good? :)
You can choose your own preferable breakfast. They even serve mango sticky rice for breakfast too!

I’m pretty satisfy with my 4D3N stays. Love the concept, love the hospitality, love the interiors, the bed, the location, everything about this hotel. Can’t recommend more. On top of it, the rate is affordable- definitely value for money! Will definitely return to Volve.
